Religious Education

Welcome to St. Raymond - St. Elizabeth Religious Education!

Religious Education Registration Open for 2025-2026
Mission Statement
The Catholic Church teaches that parents are the first teachers of their children and
have the responsibility to teach them the Faith. The Religious Education and Formation
program provides support to parents in teaching the dogma of the Catholic Faith, and
to experience the love of Jesus and begin a lifelong relationship with Him. Students are
prepared for and receive the Sacraments through the parish school of religion.
When do we meet?
Classes will meet on Monday evenings 5:30-6:45pm, Aug. 25th-May 8th
Who do we serve?
All children from K-8th Grades, young adults, adults, and families.
What makes us unique?
• Msgr. Nahal is an integral part of the program and is present in church and in the
classrooms each week.
• Our Parishes: St Raymond Cathedral & St. Raymond - St Elizabeth Parishes are
Catholic members from the Maronite (Eastern) and Roman (Western) Rites of our
Catholic church. United as a community the students and adults learn the doctrine,
tradition, and richness of the Maronite and Roman Catholic Faith, deepening the
roots of both.
• Adult Formation classes are offered each Semester during class time to enrich the
faith of the whole family.
• MYO a formation youth group meets each week on Mondays for 9-12th grade
students.
• OCIA - classes for adults and families leading to a greater understanding of the
Catholic Church and preparing them for the reception of the Sacraments. Contact
Jake Garanzini, the Priests and Deacons of our church.
• The Sacraments, Catholic Culture immersion, family activities, and charitable
outreach, are included in school curriculum.
• Students lead closing prayers each week in church.
Classes
• Our catechists are deeply faithful, well educated and learned teachers who feel
called to share their faith and knowledge with children.
• Classes combine formal instruction in catechism, Maronite and Roman Rite
teachings, Liturgical Seasons, traditions, hands on activities and prayer times.
