St. Elizabeth’s currently holds two major fundraising events each year: Lenten Fish Fry and Fall Festival/Craft Fair.
The Events Committee also plans additional smaller events throughout the year. The goal is to encourage close relationships among parishioners, friends and family through barbecues, dances, and other fun events.
Lenten Fish Fry: Usually held 3 times a year on a rotating schedule with St. Justin the Martyr Parish. This event takes a large group of workers to prepare on Thursday and then again on the Friday of the Fry.
Planning for the Fish Fry usually begins a week before Lent. Contact Laurie Buelt for more information at 314.757.6726.
Fall Festival/Craft Fair: Held in September of each year. The parish community comes together and hosts a craft fair open to the general public along with a parish festival, sporting a Chili Cook Off, washers tournament, and our very own St. Elizabeth’s All Star Band for live musical entertainment.
The Fall Festival/Craft Fair committee consists of 13 parishioners. There is one meeting a month in both July and August, and 2 meetings in September.
